Teach Someone English!
Following Catholic social teaching in which “people have the right to migrate to sustain their lives and the lives of their families”, our mission is to teach English to local language minorities and work toward developing respectful relationships between them and their teachers (EIU students).
We believe that it is possible to build stronger communication skills at any age and in any language. Besides the classes, we also provide extended support (spiritual, medical & legal translations, sacramental preparation, & celebrations).
You do not need to know any other language to help! Just English! We offer lesson plans and fun activities!
Amigos & Friends: Tuesdays at 10:15-11:15 pm; Tuesday & Wednesdays at 6:30-7:30 pm
